People lie about a lot of things, I don't know why they do it. It was the easiest thing she could come up with, maybe? Like someone who draws really well saying they can draw the future, it'd be believable.
This isn't about old ladies! (Which I like perfectly fine, by the way.) This is about you being way too invested in a knitted jumper.
No, we had one of them people who could draw the future. Sort of. He drew it and it happened. Be thankful you missed that bit. I've learned not to discount anyone's power, no matter how silly or strange it might be.
There was a bloke in my support group who saw the world like a video game, so I mean, nothing's off the table.
But I don't think people are meant to know the future, then they start getting obsessed with making sure it happens exactly how it's 'supposed to', and then you're forcing something to happen that might not have if you'd done nothing at all.
Just because someone can see one version of the future doesn't mean that it can't be changed. Ain't you ever seen that Ashton Kutcher film? The Butterfly Effect, it's kind of the same theory.
Okay, I will give you that it's a bit scary trying to fulfill some prophecy on a jumper, but I think you'd be surprised at just how often it just.. happens on its own. And who's to say discovering the prophecy isn't part of the prophecy itself?
I'm not asking you to believe in the jumper if you don't want to. Just... if I'm right, I don't want to hear you pouting about it, all right?
